Create, Learn, Inspire

If I could invite the world into my studio and show them around, they would see sketches, paintings, and personal work that otherwise would have no audience.
This site is the next best thing.
Here I'll show work that has been published as well as the work behind the work.
I encourage you to explore the older posts as well as the newer ones.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions about any of the posts. Enjoy!

Thank a Fireman

Fireman, 12 x 16 inches, oil on RayMar Linen Panel

While doing research for an illustration on fire departments, I was welcomed by the men and women of the Tahoe Fire Department. They were generous with their time and knowledge.
This painting is my way of saying "Thank you" and will be presented to the Chief, who is retiring this year.
Thank a Fireman, they have a tough job.

  2. Terrific painting Ron- as always. Masterful use of your high chroma color to draw attention to the fireman's head and shoulders.
