If I could invite the world into my studio and show them around, they would see sketches, paintings, and personal work that otherwise would have no audience. This site is the next best thing. Here I'll show work that has been published as well as the work behind the work. I encourage you to explore the older posts as well as the newer ones.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions about any of the posts. Enjoy! spears@charter.net

Costume Study - Sharron
Last night we had the beautiful Sharron, modeling in a historic reproduction dress. This was about a 2 hour study. 16 x 20 inches, oil on Ray Mar, double oil primed, linen panel.
As a professional artist, I've been fortunate to work with some great clients in entertainment, gaming and publishing. I continue to seek new experiences in art and find great inspiration in learning and teaching.
I'm a member of the Society of illustrators, in New York and received my MFA from the University of Hartford, in Connecticut.
Lookin' good. The face on your June 7th post is fantastic.
